PepperBrooks explains how digital marketing has increased throughout the pandemic and how many more people are looking at online content.

  • Take a Leap and Have a Presence Online

Pepper encourages entrepreneurs to come online and take the leap. She says, “…sometimes it can be a little intimidating”. But you must create content or advertisements to be present in a digital space. However, even if you don’t have the best resources or skills, try to share through social media or blogs to catch the audience’s attention.

Having a digital presence will build your brand identity and name, and it’s crucial to be online at this time as consumers are at home attached to their phones or mobile devices. The more people you can reach, the better it will be to grow your business.

  • Focus on Your Values

For entrepreneurs, Pepper Brooks emphasizes how important it is to focus on your values. First, she says, “it’s important to think about what your brand stands for.” Also, Pepper mentions we’ve had a significant social injustice movement, and we’re also in a global pandemic. So many things are happening around the world. “You’re a person behind your brand,” therefore having fundamental values and knowing what you stand for is essential.

Focusing on your values can contribute to your brand’s development and tells people why you’re doing what you’re doing. Showing your business’ purpose is one of the most significant things while growing your brand.

  •  Start a Blog

Pepper strongly encourages everyone to start a blog. She emphasizes that “blogs are important” and how blogs help you amplify your voice. Blogs can build your brand story and also help with search engine optimization (SEO). Having keywords in your blog is also crucial as it increases the efficiency of people finding your blog posts. Pepper suggests trying to incorporate your products and services into your blog for more visibility.

  • Social Media: Focus on a Few or Many?

During the discussion on Bizgrams, a viewer asked if it’s better to focus on a few social media platforms and or rather just one. 

Pepper agrees that focusing on one social media platform and being good at it – is the best option – before moving onto another. Focusing on one platform and doing it well. In fact, it will benefit your business rather than being present on many platforms and putting in a partial effort.
